This picture was taken in September 2001, as you can probably tell by what little background was not cut out of the original picture, Rose was at work. Rose has been a waitress for over 50 years, that probably explains why she is so good at it. It probably also explains why, if you grew up in Santa Cruz during the last 50 years there are probably more people in your circle of friends than you ever realized who know Rose. I always enjoy stopping by to see Rose when we visit Santa Cruz. Rose started as a Car Hop at the Spivey's Five Spot at Ocean and Water Streets.
